March 15, 2021 - Stuck match central on the nose. There is something green and nettley lurking behind but it is pleasant. It has some toast and explosive white peach fruit. It is dense and sappy, finishing long and strong with some celery salt notes.
September 29, 2020 - Pierre Morey vertical 1989-2017 (Singapore/Zoom): Tasted blind. Light gold, Matchstick, my style, precise, crisp, relatively light. 1er Cru intensity. Finish could be longer but I am nit picking. Fennel and asparagus. Younger, guessed 2010. Very nice showing, both 2004s were racy and fresh.
July 24, 2018 - Roulot Meursault Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir Dinner with some Pierre Morey Tessons (Formento's - Chicago IL): Past its peak, disappointing for the vintage.
February 15, 2015 - Blind at Anita: This had a green cabbage-like under tone to it, with high acid and lean mineral aspect. Not my favorite of the night.
October 22, 2014 - This made for the THIRD bottle of pre-maturely oxidized white Burgundy in one event. Ouch.
April 16, 2014 - Flott nese av moden gult eple, fat, krydder, smør og popcorn. Fyldig og god munnfølelse med avdempet pen syre. Smidig lang utgang. Robust stil.
March 25, 2013 - WES - Fine White Burgundy (LSE Holborn): Almost golden in colour. Angelica on the nose, softer with some vegetal notes. Perhaps hints of flat lucozade! Soft dry with less fruit dominance on the palate.
March 25, 2013 - Wine Education Service - Fine White Burgundy (LSE): Deepish gold.
Very vegetal nose, madeirised, some raisiny sweetness, potatoes!
Loads of oak with no taste of fruit, just about drinkable but not memorable.
September 9, 2012 - A big lick of tart citric combined with some green apple malic turns out a wine that looks very compact and lean to begin with. It builds in the glass to show notes of smoke, almond butter, citrus blossom and some cool mint and mineral action. It has a degree of richness but is taut and relatively sinewy.
June 10, 2011 - This wine was lean, tart and showing very little aroma. Nothing on the palette to suggest it will improve. A huge disappointment for a wine of such pedigree and from such a notable producer.
