April 22, 2023 - PNP. Deep hazy faded magenta color. Dark raspberry, plum, cocoa, mushroom, and subtle raw coconut. Smooth, dry palate, with tongue coating acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. Tasted at the winery in Tain-l’Hermitage. Very fun.

July 12, 2021 - From db MG: Very fine indeed. Perfect balance, elegant with with plenty of local feel, sweet Grenache, plenty of barnyard, fruit is still primary - from this format, at least, this wine has a long way to go, but the clear cut fruit makes it a pleasure. Tasted over 4 days - not even able to cool it down, still no signs of fatigue.

July 11, 2020 - Interesting aromas that I find appealing. Although I agree with the tasting notes referencing horse manure and bandaid (brett, I believe), I find sweet floral and fig aromas more prominent. In my view, the weakness of this wine is not in the aromas but rather in the structure, where the acidity is so low that the wine seems flat and dull. Low acidity is the Achilles' heel of CdP, but some wines can overcome it with outstanding concentration, which this wine does not have. Sorry to say, this wine does not come close to the 96-98 reviews I see from prominent critics.

    I would drink now.

December 24, 2019 - Well. Still very red, quite dark actually. Great nose. On the palate the animalistic flavours takes the upper hand. Plenty of complexity beneath and around, but this horse manure is not to my liking.

April 19, 2019 - 100% Grenache CdP vintage 2010 from Rhone négociant and winemaker M. Chapoutier. Tasted up against Torbreck Les Amis. Reductive style with vinification in closed concrete vats. Lots of tertiary aromas present, cigar box, horse manure, earthy-mouldy notes and smoke. Some prunes and licorice. On palate med+ tannins that seems the dominating balancing factor, med+ acidity, ripe red fruits and white pepper. Long finish with ok complexity. Quite an atypical CdP experience that I can recommend.
