November 21, 2020 - The lesser of the two bottles with a cork that recently sank...
Not well settled despite standing for days.Decanted out of necessity. Luckily the capsule was particularly tight and robust. Nevertheless, the wine clearly picked up a little air and evolved rapidly after the wine was poured.
This wine has aged really nicely and shows a nice combination of fruit, earthy aromas, mushroom and spices. Nice balance, softened tannins and texture and a long clean finish. Depending on the particular glass and time the VA was more or less noticeable.
The other bottle should be quite spectacular... -

December 15, 2011 - CAV old wines tasting (Brussels): Still quite red colour.
Nice earthy notes.
Extremely lean and velvety with lots of concentration. Perfect harmony and long aftertaste. What else?
