December 11, 2017 - Asperger Wine Syndrome Group Tasting Round (Private Location): AP 07 84. Jochen brought another stunner which was my WOTN. Hedonistic nose with lots of ripe apricot, toffee, mandarin, wild honey, herbs, tea and also a certain green dill note. The acidity still plays on a high level although the wine is very round without any edges. Soft mouthfeel with a medium long finish. This Auslese is just lovely to drink. It might miss the last depth, length and tension but at this point of the evening I hardly could ask for more. I think the wine will stay on this level for a couple of more years but I couldn’t imagine that it will gain any better.

December 11, 2017 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Clear, medium golden-amber color. Clean, medium+ intense, fully developed nose with a wonderful perfume of Honey, tea, firn, petrol, caramel, toffee, herbs and blossoms. Complex, dense, very good.
Medium-dry. Sweetness has blended in over the last decades. Medium+, refreshing acidity. Medium+ intense flavors of vanilla, ripe yellow fruit, mineral notes. Very balanced, soft, elegant. Lacks a bit of complexity, tension and depth to be really great, but this is a first world problem. Has at least a decade of further development ahead if properly stored.
That's how I like Mosel Riesling! Immortal! 92-93
