April 18, 2016 - Weekly tasting group #210; Bordeaux: the lesser gods. (@ WW): Mature bouquet with lovage, tea, coffee, chocolate leather and some salty impressions. The same tertiary impressions on the palate. Some minerals as well. Nevertheless good acidity and soft tannin. Still drinkable, but in fact this bottle is a bit too old. No score.

January 11, 2015 - Very odd bottle of wine. Has a wonderful very expressive nose that is full of fruit, cedar, tobacco and spice and overall promise. Taste is a nice mellow fruit and earthy mix with a hint of rust: what you would expect from a very minor St. Estephe. Yet the finish is rapid and short with no lingering taste or character. Does the nose make up for the lack of finish? A very pleasant and refreshing drink (12.5%) but lacks any real length. QPR very good mind, so no real complaints. Just not that memorable.
