March 30, 2020 - Straight from the bottle a medicinal herby nose (thyme / garrigue) with cherries and damsons. Then the fruit becomes more prominent on the palate but with lots of other aromatics jostling around (iodine / vanilla / tobacco / mushrooms etc), good length with balance. Really quite good.

October 21, 2019 - Spicy and a bit closed on opening. After being open a day velvet body , balance , less spicy but enough to ensure not too ripe and sweet. Long . Wonderful wine

    May 23, 2019 - Tasted over 2 hrs, from 375 mL
    -med dark red purple
    -mildly expressive cool dark fruits
-med/med+ acidity gives the characteristic 2010 verve, med/med- weight crystalline red-black fruit licorice pine and distinct steely mineral streak, ripe med/med- tannins
-early in prime drinking window, not very aromatic for the vintage

April 25, 2019 - Wine Society - Explore Pinot Noir; 4/24/2019-4/25/2019 (Trades Hall Glasgow): Complex bouquet, earthy notes for me. A lot of tannic grip at first (quite cold) and a smokey flavour. Fruit was very restrained, with a slightly burnt, caramelly note suggesting maybe overextraction?

It came out it’s shell a bit as it warmed up, but it was quite hard work for me anyway. Might need a bit more time?
