Community Tasting Notes 9

April 9, 2023 - Originally owned 2 and would have loved to have owned more! Both exhibited that suave silky Chambolle texture and the outstanding balance of 2010. A real pleasure! 93+

October 29, 2022 - Substantially the same impressions as previous bottles but no improvement. I would perhaps be inclined to say I could have overrated earlier bottles. If you have this wine I would put it away for another 5-10 years to see what comes out at the other end. I will.

November 7, 2020 - Absolutely lovely. Still quite young, but with no rough edges and an appealing mix of raspberry fruit, earth and minerals. Tremendous with pan-seared duck breasts and duxelles.

July 12, 2019 - PNP a small pour in my Burg glass about 2-1/2 hours prior to dinner and slow oxed the rest. Wow, another stunning 2010 from my all round favorite Burg vintage to date. This is hitting on all cylinders leaving very little room for nit picking. My only beef is how scarce this wine is as I looked for more :). Semi translucent ruby red with tiny bit of bricking. This is Chambolle ler Cru heaven, on the relative cheap for the $80 I paid for it. This has a fabulously seductive nose of red berries, roses, spice and already some forest floor. The palate echos those features while also adding some rainier cherry, excellent minerality, earth and more spice. Loved every drop and fortunately I have one more of this previously, under my radar, producer. Already in its early best drinking with a great sense of complexity, depth and purity. Lovely Chambolle silky elegance. 13% alc.

January 18, 2018 - Second bottle opened and this confirms the previous note even though I found it more accessible. Overall a very fresh and elegant wine that has more potential.
