December 23, 2022 - Drinkable but sadly, likely past its prime. Beautiful garnet color. Nose is still there. After about 30 minutes, the wine is smooth and light. But all the fruit is gone and you are left entirely with tobacco and earth flavors, which seems common to me for bordeaux of this age where it has past its prime.

March 28, 2021 - Holy Moly BYOB Dinner (Burlamacco Ristorante): Deep garnet, but exhibiting significant browning and fading on edges. An intense peppery and herb-led nose, some tart cherry, charcuterie, and cut grass. Acidic, whilst tannins completely resolved, and lean, whilst with strong flavours of pepper, cherry, rose, leather, charcuterie, roasted vegetables, leaf compost. Very complex finish, but of medium length at best, seems indicative of a wine over the hill, otherwise nice!

January 5, 2018 - Initially one dimensional, but evolved in the glass. Has a pleasant sweetness to it, initially didn't seem to have much acidity but livened up after an hour. I didn't aerate it when I decanted it but in retrospect it might of helped because we immediately started drinking it after decanting. Pleasantly surprised

May 17, 2017 - Excellent color for a 79 but best to let it breath between 2.5 and 3 hours.

March 13, 2017 - Too much wood, hiding too much, rough bitters.
