November 15, 2017 - alcohol is noticeable, fruit is deep but feels over extracted. well made but overall not my cup of tea.

November 14, 2017 - Dinner with the wine group (The Perennial, SF): Aromatic, dry, full bodied, medium-plus acid, medium-plus alcohol. A nice pairing with food, but it pales in comparison to the trimbach. 90

October 26, 2017 - GV is one of the specialties of my friend Loek. This one wasn't bad at all, this one was even very good, with a very smooth and pure bouquet and surprisingly a whiff of caramel in the persistent midtaste. The aftertaste was very balanced.

    February 13, 2017 - Color: golden yellow
Smell: Floral notes, ruby-red grapefruit, white pepper, and chalk
Taste: Tropical fruits dominate the palate with a hint grapefruit linger on the palate.
Overall: This is really intense...almost a bit "too big", almost. Full bodied, high acidity, med+ fruit, with an unctuous mouth-feel that lingers throughout the finish. Outstanding...but i'm not sure this is worth the cost.

January 5, 2015 - What I didn't found in the Knoll GV Ried Schüt Smaragd '11, I found in this wine. A stony and also perfumed bouquet, body, still dry, very pure and with a superb balance.
