July 17, 2022 - Rhone 2022; 7/11/2022-7/17/2022 (Rhone): Slightly tough to taste at the domain as the bottle was freshly opened. As with all of these wines, they need a good airing.
Initially sewery which blew off to show limited fruit but lovely earthy gamey smells, some menthol. Still quite tannin and attractive fruit tang. Some iron and meaty smells. Very savoury. Great wine for those who like their cote-rotie on the earthy side. -
