December 18, 2023 - Muted black fruit and a gentle perfume, medium bodied, elegant fruit and softness and with a little graphite on the slightly little drying finish.

February 5, 2023 - Vinetasters: 2000 Bordeaux (Park Ridge, IL): Served double blind. Fairly ripe, with clear cabernet notes, though the pyrazines aren't the prominent character here. Fairly ripe, with modest black-fruited notes and some dried date aromas making me think that this was a Californian cabernet from the early 1990s. Nicely balanced, readily drinkable right now. My 4th, group's 6th.

July 30, 2022 - Just over three years from my last note, and this remains youthful and rather locked up for me. I don't think the fruit is fading. I think this will come round. Patience required.

December 20, 2021 - From half bottle. Black currant, eucalyptus, charred oak and musty cellar on the nose. Palate still has sweet black currant and raspberry fruit, lots of new oak and cocoa. Still delicious, though this has been a a plateau of maturity for several years and is now likely in slow decline. Drink now-2025 89
