Community Tasting Notes 10

November 8, 2023 - From half bottle. The most interesting aromas of ripe melon (like smelling the rind of uncut fruit), with very detailed ripe green/red mango aromas. Juicy palate with exuberant tropical and citrus (lime), a twinge of savory note which seems the high acidity/lime component. This was way too easy to drink, half bottle disappears in a flash. Excellent today and for a decade easily. Thanks to Santé for helping me divine the aromatics.

April 29, 2022 - Dark 24k gold color. White pepper dominates the nose with a slight hint of curry and lemon-lime. Intense lemon and lime zest. Aged to perfection and absolutely delicious.

January 31, 2019 - Intense lime, white flowers, mineral, wet stones with a hint of petrol. Very rich in flavours with long lime-infused finish. Good baroque style riesling.

June 28, 2018 - Drunk one bottle over two days. Beautiful Riesling that slowly starts to enter its drinking window. Pale golden color. Beautiful Riesling nose with some herbs, yellow stone fruit and lovely mineral notes. Dry, good, lively acidity that balances the 13,5% abv really well. No or very few botrytis. Mainly driven by herbs and mineral notes. Good grip and great tension. Balanced and rather long on the finish. Hast at least potential for another decade. 93

January 6, 2016 - I served this in my wine course. Spicy nose of gingerbread. Relatively rich mouth-feel. Savory finish with some tropical fruit, but not particularly ripe, maybe green mango. Very enjoyable.

P.S. Noticed even more unripe tropical in this wine when returned to it after an Albert Mann Schlossberg. This wine is continuing to improve with air. Upgrading this a point to 94.
