    June 7, 2020 - This is magnificent.
    Unmistakably the Rhône.
Concentrated Syrah fruit bomb with oak beautifully integrated.
    Long, long finish.
    Still youthful to my senses.

April 10, 2020 - Extensive Social Distancing Drink #9. Lightly floral and clean nose. Showing load of acidity, fine tannins and mostly resolved. Burnt cigarette and oak barrels at finish. Good concentration and length. Have been on this plateau for a while, drinking well at the moment.

November 7, 2019 - No formal note, classic in many ways with dark fruit, olive and bacon fat in both nose and palate. Rich, slightly chewy but well balanced.

August 10, 2019 - Smokin Meat and Serious Syrah 2.0 (Westport, CT): Drank side by side with the '96 L'Ermite and while this was tasty that was a total knockout. Here you get some red boysenberry and some pepper and powerful and tasty. There's a certain prettiness to it which I take as some background floral notes but they are less pronounced here.

August 7, 2019 - Just picked up some ‘13 and ‘14 Edmunds St. John Syrah today, got me crave for some matured Syrah. Drinking really well. Bacon, olive, herbs, and tobaccos. Still some smooth tannins on mid-palate. Vibrant acidity and excellent balance. ABV 13.5% without any hint of alcohol or heaviness at backend, that’s how you make it! Delicious bottle and no hurry to consume this, will last another 10 years without breaking a sweat.
