July 1, 2021 - Dried fruit, toast and honey on the nose. Dry. Nice acidety. Modest bubbles. The fruit feels much younger than - 88. Dominant citrus on the palate. Nice and long, citric exit.

October 13, 2018 - The best 88 Champagnes from 1988 Part 1/3; 10/12/2018-10/13/2018 (Les Crayeres Reims): Blind, Jamesse Synergie Glas, Magnum, 55-45 CH-PN
One of the winner tonight. A lot of roasted hazelnuts and vanilla but without being annoying, fresh, great balance with fantastic concentration. 95

April 25, 2011 - Classic mature champagne notes, dried fruit etc. Not as complex as the VC 88 which the Lanson was paired to. Felt fresh and from the cork it looks like this was degorged in 2004. Nice mouse and good mouthfeel. Not to complex. Now-2030

December 10, 2009 - Drunk at Christie's Master Class with Tom Stevenson. Magnum, disgorged November 2008. Still quite biting acidity. Very young/dry in the mouth but with a hint of oxidisation/mushrooms/oyster shell on the nose. Lovely balance but so young.

November 17, 2005 - Winestar Lanson Champagne Dinner: Powerful nose. Very good mouthfeel. A long life ahead with excellent structure.
