May 28, 2018 - Color was well bricked, a very definite brown tinge. Initial nose is blackberry's and some barnyard. Just after opening has flavors of unripened cherries. Develops after some time to a more robust and nuanced cherry, savory character. Still has youthful flavors as well. Good acidity, long finish.

October 18, 2017 - Very tight on opening. Took 30 mins to open up in decanter. Evolved into a very nice wine. Plenty of power and structure, balanced well with traditional Barolo fruit. Earthiness is present. probably at least 5 years left on this, maybe 7.
