October 11, 2015 - Second Sunday Group: 2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape (R&D's): Clean and crisp. Mineral and white peach notes on the nose and palate. Great acidity and balance.

May 29, 2013 - NOish. I think apart for their top flight wines (e.g., St Hune) that Hugel produce quite anemic and pasty entry level wines, for no good reason. The other big produced, Trimbach, provides much better quality at entry level. This wine could be said to be uncharactistic of (good) Pinot Gris in that it is all rosewater and very little bacony spice. With time it got a nit spicy but it is hard not to think ti could be better for the price.
