February 10, 2024 - High toned cherries, mid weight, long finish…another stellar 2011 clos des chateau des ducs from the best. My dad gave it the thumbs up…that should say it all.

April 18, 2023 - Expected a bit more. Still young? I’ll hold on my other 3.

March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Also very pale with early browning. Assertive fennel. All earth, very little fruit, astringent finish. No.

February 26, 2022 - Another excellent bottle; actually seemed a bit tighter than my last; the nose took about 30-45 minutes to get going, then showed crunchy and fresh red berry fruits, crushed stone minerality, violets and lilac, just a hint of spice. The palate is mineral driven and a little tight, but with food shows well and opens over the evening; good weight for the vintage, but definitely a wine of elegance and balance rather than pure power. I thoroughly enjoyed it and based on this showing it has development potential still for sure.

August 31, 2021 - Casual and Great Domaine Lafarge Tasting (Chez Winefool): 95/03/07/09/11. Pretty red cherry, berries and herbs on the nose. Juicy red cherry with suppleness and medium weight. A real success in 2011. At peak and should hold for 5+ years.
