September 7, 2019 - Fine Wines SG - White Burgundy Tasting (Fine Wines SG): Orange nearly tawny, clearly from age. Nose of straw, dried apricot, hawthorne, and even some nail colouring. On the palate, the leading flavor is barley and almond, with some lemon, sour berries and hawthorne, even a bit caramelised. The barley and almond stays to the fairly long finish. Quite remarkable how an Aligote could hold out for so many years and still be quite palatable, but then again, it’s Ramonet... Well made

March 3, 2007 - Pale straw color. Yellwo fruits, minerals and flowers on the nose. Smooth, supple and fruity with good cut. At its peak as the acids have now mellowed and are well integrated. Long, fat fruit finish.

December 26, 2006 - Pale greenish straw. Waxy yellow fruits, white flowers and minerlas on the nose. Rich and nutty on the palate with the yellow fruit flavors followed by crisp acids. Shows just a hnt of wood and the finish is rather fat for aligote. Not complex but very serious wine here for its pedigree and easily outshines many chardonnay based villages for burgundian tipicity. Should hang around for anither few years without problem as the acids are super fresh.

September 25, 2006 - A great aligote. Sophisticated, terrior driven and nicley round. Skip the cassis!
