October 9, 2023 - Beautiful showing last night.

This is all you’d like from C.M Burg. Obviously on the light side, I’d recommend drinking alone, as it gets destroyed by whatever meal.

Still a bit of red fruit, cherries, strawberries and cranberries. Tons of spices, and we’re getting to a point where we have wet leaves notes.

My other bottle will be drank within the next year.

April 7, 2018 - Guys Night - Bordeaux vs Napa (Jason's House): I didn't get much Burgundy out of this wine. It is a fairly lean pinot noir without much minerality, or anything to elevate it above "good average".

April 4, 2018 - Aged High End Bordeaux Blends (Jason P's, St. Paul, MN): This got opened by mistake, so it didn't see any air. The nose has vanilla, muddled cherry, oak, lots of spice. This came off a bit thin to me. Probably just too young and needs more time. 89pts now with presumed upside.

February 20, 2013 - Spicy, cool sappy lift to the aroma. It is a substantial wine with intense red berry and cherry fruits. There’s some meat and earth lurking just below the surface and acidity bright and tannins suave.
