January 28, 2016 - Drank this yesterday over lunch at New Ubin Seafood with an ex-colleague.
Colour is dark purplish-red. Wonderful aromas on the nose of plums, prunes, and blackberries. On the palate the wine is soft and supple, concentrated and focused without being imposing or overwhelming. Some chocolate and coffee notes with ripe red fruits.
Simple and straightforward in nature with few complexities or surprises. A solid new world merlot which carries the characteristics of the varietal very well. -
