October 12, 2023 - 2011 Burgs (Noize): The first sniff clearly showed this was going to be great, and it was. Inviting nose full of delicious musky, earthy hedgerow scent, and some truffle and mothballs too. Rather puckering bright cherry acidity on the palate, and some earthy stemminess. This lightfooted wine was great with the food, and the group's WOTN (my #3).

May 3, 2020 - Dark red with black. Highly perfumed with cherries and feu des bois. A touch of forest floor, earth and black fruits too. Intensely dark tangy fruits, with an earthiness and a touch of licorice. I do notice quite a strong herbal character too, but it adds an extra dimension for me. This is pretty fantastic for its level.

December 20, 2018 - Plum and cherry liqueur. Lovely. Very aromatic and bright. Clearly young, tannin and some power present. This will be great to follow over time.

July 6, 2018 - Youthful and bright colour. In the nose, this is also quite youthful and bright. Red and black cherry, some red currant, violets, hints of earth, very slight hints of oak. Lovely. In the mouth, it's juicy, the tannins are fine, the acidity is rather mild, the wine is not super complex, but very vibrant and inviting.

June 23, 2017 - La Grande Paulée at Cabotte (Cabotte, 48 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7AY): Glowing luminous red colour. Full throttle red and black fruit up front with notes of graphite and coal dust. Feisty, powerful style with some raspberry liqueur notes in the finish. Time in hand.
