September 27, 2020 - Sunday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): I got to this a little later in the day so by then unfortunately most of the fizz had dissipated. The nose has some malty grain flavours as well as a slightly bitter herbal tinge presumably from the hops. The palate's pretty consistent, with an added maillard-inflected brown sugar note. Again, there's that 甘 sort of taste that blends sweet and bitter together in a slightly medicinal way.

May 25, 2013 - Very nice, smooth, creamy , spicy and yeasty notes. Hides the 7% alc. well. Not a heavy beer. Excellent.
