December 19, 2021 - This wine is still holding up pretty well! Nose of raspberry, cranberry, currant, leather, a hint of tabacco and wet wood. There is still a 'zing' on the tong, but you can definitely tell it toned down quite a bit. Still, a lovely wine.

December 13, 2015 - Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (Il Foro, Mpls, MN): Medium bricked red color. PNP, Drank a small pour over 15 minutes. This really was delightful. A lovely bottle that was well preserved. Very earthy, vegetal, mushroom, lacy, dried flowers, leather, the mid palate reminds me of an older Lopez. boy these are good when they're pristine. 93+pts.

May 4, 2013 - Cork soaked all the way through. Some light mold on the top. Label came off the The bottom of the cork stayed in the bottle, but no negative impact. This bottle is prestine. A winebid purchase a few months ago.

Light ruby, like tomato juice. Dense earth, spring flowers, a touch of oak and some spice kick. Lithe and mineral, full and pure, and a complete balanced harmonious finish. Menthol, slight funk, earth and baker's chocolate. A really great bottle. Quite fresh for a 40-year old, no musty old books. Lytton Springs is now my favorite Zinfandel vineyard.
