  April 21, 2023 - Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): Sharp and bright and fruit. Very crisp. Very pretty. I like this a lot. Not a wine we see enough in the US

  January 17, 2023 - Onion skin colour; alluring bouquet after some warmth & coaxing, subtle (aka muted); oatmeal, then marked acidity providing tension; best left alone for a while. But is there enough matière? Very long. (Base 2015, disgorged 2019).

  November 25, 2022 - Piemonte: Back to the truffling!; 11/24/2022-12/3/2022 (Wineries and various restaurants): Always start with a champagne and in Barolo they seem to have the same idea so they make it easy. Our first choice was out but this was there and it drinks very well. All fruity and bright and a bit of complexity and heft to make it interesting. Very nice start to the meal. Worked also with my egg and cheese pairing that was sadly lacking the truffle.

  April 2, 2022 - Festa del Piemonte: Master Class & Lunch (The Pool/Grill): Final wine of the afternoon and at this point they were quite keen for us to get moving so they could be ready for their dinner service. This was nice though.
