  April 2, 2016 - Much improved from two years ago. Similar tasting notes with lavender, rhubarb, and raspberries on the nose. The palate is much more open and even, bringing dried cherries, wild herbs, and assorted tart red fruit. The finish has nice tannins and good acidity. Probably had an off bottle the first time as this should go another 5+ years.

  March 2, 2014 - Opened and decanted 1 hour prior to dinner of hearty pasta soup for Oscar party. Lovely violet hue. Nose grabs you with a unique, tarty raspberry compote along with some herbs, grass, and wet earth. The palate is light and zesty but eventually rounds out into soft cherries, rhubarb pie, and fresh strawberries, then finishes with soft tannins. Definitely a food wine and I suspect it's at it's peak or just past. The acidity seemed to be fleeting at times, so drink up now. Overall, a rather simple wine, and not at all a good QPR, but it's from Burgundy, right?

  September 2, 2013 - Wow, This was almost undrinkable. Tasted like bitting into under-ripe bell pepper. Very astringent and unpleasant to drink. Gave up after a glass and moved on to a 2010 St. Joseph.
