95+ pts

January 3, 2023 - Incredible wine. Wonderful drinking. Needs a long decant at this stage but this is beautifully balanced, with rich fruit and smooth tannins.

December 4, 2022 - Stunning wine - lots of grip & power, yet very layered as well.

Way too young at this stage, needs more bottle time or plenty of O2.

November 5, 2022 - Rhone Birthday 2022; 11/4/2022-11/6/2022: Small pour, but this was distinctive with an elegant expressive nose and powerful palate and finish. Has a nice mix of smoke and tar notes mixed with white flower notes. Fine tannins that seems mostly integrated. To me this was balanced and seamless, implying some maturity but could likely hold for decade plus given the pedigree and balance. Went fast in a competitive lineup

November 5, 2022 - Not unlike the 11 Chave tasted recently, this was smoky, large scaled, but with a better resolution of wood tannin. It will be the shorter lived wine of the two, and I think have peaked in 5 years or so. Boysenberry, cedar shaving, some fig newton and 5 spice. One of the better wines this evening.
