January 4, 2018 - Great champagne. I did not know this small artisan champagne grower Janisson-Baradon. Worth a try.

October 17, 2015 - Truffle Dinner at the Papies (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): First time we cross paths with this wine and a very nice surprise.
Good, ripe, toasty notes on the nose. Well round and with nice rich notes on the palate, apple feel. A pretty solid wine albeit a bit generic in its solidness. 91

October 25, 2014 - For the first time ever I can easily believe a dry Champagne in my glass to be anything but Champagne based on its nose. The weird bouquet is full of odd (at least for a young wine) aromas such as marzipan, Cognac and mushrooms, along with more usual suspects ripe apple, sweetish toast and obvious oak. Really round overall, a nose to eat indeed. Several people around the table found this to smell more of old red wine than young Champagne. The mousse is of fairly soft and short kind, making quickly room for an unusually vinous, rich and full bodied mouthfeel, which only keeps on growing towards the finish. Bone dry with good natural acidity but really round and caressing due to the considerable concentration. It is a cliché but this is an ambassador for Champagnes that are only Champagne by name and in actuality still wines. What makes this wine even more surprising is the fact that there is nothing weird about JB's more affordable cuvées. I find this to be a bit of a curiosity and would probably not spend another 50 € note on it.

May 25, 2013 - On est avec le Chardonnay, belle acidité, finesse et longueur. Sans filtration ni fermentation malolactique.
