Community Tasting Notes 3

June 30, 2021 - A medium to full bodied wine with dark red and purple fruits, earth, spice box, pomegranate, and great acidity. This deserves a wider fan base. 13.5% abv. Drink now to 2023.

January 11, 2014 - Fascinating wine. Bright, medium ruby red. Heavy earthy smell of wet soil; it has a minerality absent from most reds; tart, wild, red cherry but layers of other red fruits I can't put my finger on (pomegranate / cranberry?) spicebox; medium long finish and delightfully complex for a wine in this price range. Enough fruit to make it accessible, but also great for aficionados with a jaded palette.

June 19, 2013 - Terry Theise Austrian/German tasting (Milwaukee Athletic Club): barrique aging. lots of gingerbread aromas. gets quite barrel-driven on the palate.
