October 17, 2014 - Slightly cloudy very dark ruby. Blueberry, cola, and earth nose. Medium bodied, cranberries, bing cherries, slightly bitter tannins, mushrooms, good acid, and a medium to long finish. Better than last year.

April 15, 2014 - I really enjoyed this bottle this time but it was only bottle opened. The last time I had it, was during a tasting where there were 5-6 bottles opened. It was very smooth, balanced and quite enjoyable.

From the winemaker via the wine.woot forum: This was a find way back in the cellar at Geyser Peak (no lie). Never been released (hence the un-traditional label) but drinking really well. The Malbec is from AV and adds a nice fruit-forward component. The 2007 Geyser Peak Winery Red Wine is a rare wine that has never been released and is now available to the Wine.Woot community.

Color: Purplish/red in color without sediment, opaque, clear
Nose: Sweetness, perfumed, strawberry, oak, wood, berries, herbal
Palate: Strawberry, fruity, very smooth, plum, earthy, velvety, sweet start with a grainy finish

September 27, 2013 - Dark magenta. Dark fruit and earth nose. Medium to full bodied, unsweetened blackberries, white pepper, resinous tannins, a slight astringency, green olives, and a long finish. Tastes more like a Cab Franc than a Malbec. Interesting, very "old world", didn't love it, but OK for the price.
