Blind Tasting

Franklin, TN

Tasted December 19, 2013 by nathanbsmith with 212 views

Introduction

We had a blind wine tasting on December 29, 2013 and opened four bottles of wine. The tasting included my wife, @robertbramblett and his bride. Every bottle was decanted in the traditional manner and was poured into a numbered bottle for the blind tasting. Wine was served with cheese and crackers.

From the winemaker via the wine.woot forum: This was a find way back in the cellar at Geyser Peak (no lie). Never been released (hence the un-traditional label) but drinking really well. The Malbec is from AV and adds a nice fruit-forward component. The 2007 Geyser Peak Winery Red Wine is a rare wine that has never been released and is now available to the Wine.Woot community.
