  October 31, 2021 - Golden color. Faint floral - honeysuckle and thyme flower - aromas. Flavors of lemon with honey notes, along with some flower petals, give way to a discernible mineral/seashell note. Medium body. Acidity still solid but far less than a few years ago. This wine, for my palate (brighter flavor notes) probably has 2-3 years. It will age well long after that but with more muted, and more honey-like, flavors I believe.

  April 10, 2020 - Light notes of white peach and Fiji Apple fade into a crescendo of lemon curd and lime zest that finish with a burnished limestone minerality. Simple fabulous on its own or, in this case, with pan seared diver scallops with lemon butter pan sauce.

  March 16, 2019 - This wine is consistently delivering on all cylinders. Pure mineral focus vibrant in its fruit, there's a beautiful density and concentration of grapefruit, lemon peel, limestone, chalky style yet it is at the same time creamy and generous ending with a sharp pleasant acidity.

  September 1, 2018 - Adventures in Peru; 8/25/2018-9/3/2018 (Peru): The 2012 Domaine Laroche Les Blanchots is a knockout. Wonderful aromatics of petrol, flowers, honey. I’m usually not a fan of petrol in my wine, but here it really works. There is also all the terrific minerality that you would expect from a Chablis Grand Cru. The wine evolved quite a bit over the course of the evening, developing sweet nutty flavors. We enjoyed this at Central, which ended up being a great pairing to allow the flavors of Peru to shine through.

  June 6, 2018 - Wilson Daniels: Celebrating 40 Years (The Lakewood - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Fleshy for Chablis, but that is the vintage coming through. Apple and candied lemon peel with good+weight and length.Best to enjoy young.
