June 8, 2019 - Lisa's Big Birthday with Very Good Wine (Riverwoods, IL): Served double blind to the tasting group alongside the 1996. Bright lemon and green apple with good+ weight and still a slightly tart finish. Good now, but probably still upside from here.

July 24, 2018 - Roulot Meursault Les Tessons Clos de Mon Plaisir Dinner with some Pierre Morey Tessons (Formento's - Chicago IL): Lots of orchard fruit here with a bit of new oak spice. Oddly rich for the vintage with good+ weight and length. Good now with upside from here.

March 12, 2017 - Plenty of struck match to the aroma along with some lemon and hay. The palate is tight, lean and sharp. It is rocky and pure and a Meursault of elegance and finesse.

January 28, 2016 - This wine needs lots of time in the cellar. Green apple and lemon with an austere reserve that was almost shrill. Tight throughout. Drank one glass, reinserted the cork and refrigerated overnight. Second night this was slightly more expressive when first re-tasted early in the evening. Finally opened and broadened 5-6 hours later, ending the evening beautifully with Vacherin. 90 point potential for those with patience, 2018 or 2020 forward.

January 24, 2014 - Nose is cool and super mineral. Strong minerality, lemon/lime fruit. Elegant side of medium viscosity. Fresh, but has some flab. Well integrated oak. The finish is clean, showing good extract and mineral energy. Perhaps the highlight of the wine. A beauty.
