April 5, 2016 - Less common Hungarian wines: Very small bubbles, a bit hazy, seems that unfiltered. Nose of pineapple, exotic fruits, typical furmint. High accidity, sweet and sour character with some tartiness. Very long finish which is also a bit hot. One can feel that this is 0 dosage, 2-3g of sugar would be preferable here.

April 8, 2015 - Demeter Zoltán: Lots of medium sized slow bubbles. Nose starts off with pickle, it disappears with air, interesting, but rustic.Some tart notes on the palate, untamed accidity, unripe green apple, one can feel that this is 0 dosage. Not lean, has some substance, some body. Farmer-fizz style, not a clean, mineral Champagne. Finally it develops a metallic, lemony nose. Disgorged Nov.2014, so I would advise to keep it for some years after disgorgement.

October 15, 2014 - Hungarian bubbles: Now we are talking. Very enticing nose of sea breeze, algae, lively. Then comes honey sweetness, even some milky tones. Afterwards it develop aromas of water-melon, red currant, pineapple. Superb development in the glass. On a different level than the rest of the bunch in this tasting.

October 4, 2013 - Demeter Zoltán annual wine release 2013 (Budapest, Kempinsky Hotel Corvinus): Furmint, 1000 liters made, ABV 13%, RS 1.8 g/l, TA 8,9 g/l, dry extract 23,7 g/l. Nice bottle, topped with a Zork; first application of the closure in Hungary. Fine nuty, creamy nose with good intensity, but palate shows the sharp, vegetal nature of the horrible (wet and cold) vintage. Fine bubbles though.
