  Palate: lightly chalky black fruit with thoroughly integrated tannin.   Easy to sip despite the density, should tolerate a wide variety of food.
  
  With eggplant-beef lasagna, tannin is behaved but loses a bit of fruit; against straight tomato and cheese, it becomes a bit thin but is actually better balanced.
  
  I think the drinking window is a bit later than the community consensus of 2015-2017, but it's closing now in 2020.

  October 17, 2019 - A little intense to drink by itself, needs some food to accompany. Had a good amount of sediment at the bottom, but wine was just fine.
