March 25, 2023 - Soft round fruit. Lovely balance. Long. Drinking beautifully.

June 11, 2018 - Delas Hermitage Masterclass with Steven Spurrier (Handford Wines, London): Low yields here from this good yet forgotten vintage according to Steven Spurrier.
Dark red in color, youthful and definitely feels younger than the softer 2007 ( Papies 93). Structured and firm wine, rich and full, black fruits and full of energy. Very solid wine and very harmonious. This has a lot way to go and will only get better . Lots of life here. 92-94 for now.

Excellent.

September 15, 2012 - Surprisingly delicate. Sweet dark fruit with some subtle notes of stewed prune, some leather and licorice. There's also some some floral and herbal undertones with some chalky tannins on the med length finish. Quite nice.

December 12, 2011 - Christmas Season Dinner: From magnum, decanted for 30-45 minutes. Dark purple in colour. Nose of dark blue and black fruits, citrus, mineral; a touch simplistic. On the palate, more of the same. Reasonable balance, tannic structure and racing acidity. The Chapoutier Cote Rotie was a tough act to follow, but this was a respectable wine. Some childish bickering ensued over the scoring of this wine, which proved to be quite entertaining. 89-90.
