August 1, 2023 - Champagnes and Burgundies: Some greenness to this so I thought 2011, clearly a Gevrey with iron and meaty notes. A powerful, masculine wine that was quite old-school in nature.

October 23, 2020 - Double decanted and opened up in the glass. Nose is light, and feminine with some hint of flower. Palate is a bit simple, with smooth tannin and medium finishing. The taste becomes a bit flat after 45 min, and go down hill afterwards. A bit disappointing. Hope this is bottle variation.

March 2, 2020 - Had with Domaine Ponsot Chapelle Chambertin 2012 and the Ponsot was so closed on the aromas and even with 2hours of decanting the wine didn't open, but Damoy was incredible, showing signs of evolution, and very pleasant now with 2 hours open, this wine should age for at least 10 years before I open another bottle.

October 28, 2016 - Tour du Monde (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Very intense floral and spice driven start I really enjoyed. Both black and red fruit here, coming across as very concentrated but slightly more brooding vs when tasted in early 2015. Very good+ potential here, probably 2022 forward.

September 25, 2015 - Burgundy Tasting at Chevalier Wines: I found it kind of interesting that there was both crunchy red and black fruit on the nose, if the fruit did come across as a bit confected. Extremely concentrated and dense on the palate, but this finishes with a slight bit of heat that's distracting. The same candied cherry flavour seems to pop up on the palate as well. The scale of this wine is pretty impressive.
