September 19, 2019 - Richard's Jadotfest (La Trompette, Chiswick): 2/2. Youthful nose, stone fruits, vanilla, sesame seed. Medium/full bodied, attractive weight cut by nice fresh acidity, decent length finish. No hurry here.

September 19, 2019 - 2019 Jadotfest (La Trompette): Quite a big wine, especially on the nose, with smoky oak. Palate is more steely and apple-focused, and the finish falls away a little, but the wine has a lovely soft texture. Felt completely ready, but it blossomed with an hour or two in glass, becoming much richer and more giving.

September 19, 2019 - 2019 Jadotfest (La Trompette, London): Fresh with a touch of iodine. Some reduction too. Nicely clean and minerally with a hint if white fruit. Classic modern Meursault style. After a couple of hours it’s opened and shows a little richer. A good drink and I prefer it to the 06 Charlie. ***1/2

    June 19, 2019 - 1/2, good cork. Under DIAM.
Pale/medium straw. Nose initially quite discreet, ripe peachy fruit, creamy vanilla notes. Medium/full bodied, quite weighty, ripe stone fruit, attractive fresh contrasting acidity which carries a good length lightly lemony finish. This is excellent.

October 25, 2018 - Dinner with Jacques Lardière at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Apparently, this wine was started by M. Lardière but the élevage finished after he had left Louis Jadot. I liked his quip that it was too reduced, but that was certainly true. There's a nice bit of reduction here on the nose, but the palate is broad and weighty, with some really nice fleshy stone fruit to add richness to the acidity. I'm pretty sure I liked this more than M. Lardière.
