March 4, 2024 - The cork was not it the neck, but floating down in the wine.

The wine wasn't oxidized (Weird, maybe fell in during the transport the day before?)

The wine was classic aged Pomerol, sous bois, cedar and some preserved plum.

But a bit volatile acidity and in general lacking tannin and texture.

Overall a good, but not great wine (maybe harshly judged due to the faulty cork)

April 21, 2019 - Dense garnet. Lovely trad claret nose with sandalwood, a touch of fruitcake and some tobacco. Mellow, mature and smooth. Very harmonious. Just lacking a little stuffing though the mid-palate. Drink up. ****

Slightly fading, need to try another one

November 20, 2018 - very attractive and elegant nose, great mix of fruits and truffle. the wine is medium bodied, very elegant and balanced. I would have rated it a little higher had there been a tad more flesh but I enjoyed it a lot. the bottle was not tired but I do not think additional cellaring time would benefit to it.

March 29, 2017 - Similar to the 1989 in colour. Open and complex nose - forest notes, spices, cedar, tobacco, red and dark fruit. Soft and smooth on the palate, great acidity, much more alive and vibrant than the 1989. Very well balanced and long. Lovely. Drink up. 92-94
