February 23, 2021 - Lovely and balanced. Silky. Touch of green, which is a signature aspect of all the Togni's I've a had. Far from the best Togni I've had, but that speaks to the vintage.

October 16, 2020 - A quality vintage, but I’m high on 12s. They just have the fruit depth, balanced acid, structure and ripened sweetness to be excellent now and over the next 20 years. This gem from Togni is no exception. Although it’s spring mountain fruit, I detect a bit of mint and eucalyptus along with cassis and bay leaf. Tannins are uncoiled and the wine is best with 2 hours of air. Fun to try

August 6, 2020 - restrained and classic are used in many reviews and I would echo that. Solid Togni wine with good acid and ripe but not heavy/dense fruit like the Realm we had the night before. Wine will go years but drinking well now. 92-93

May 17, 2020 - Young but showing great balance in dark fruit, tannins and acidity. Secondary notes of oak ad flavors of moist earth and leather. Great!!!

April 4, 2020 - Gave this a 90min decant, but don’t be shy and feel free to go even longer. Fruit forward showing intense bramble berry jam initially. Then black and red currant. Also dried herbs and black tea. Whiffs of menthol, eucalyptus and pepper. Dense and bold with a palate screaming „I‘m too young, don’t drink me“. Spectacular versatility, just as I expect from a classically made Napa cab showing several phases in a very short period. Initially dark bramble berry, then more red type of fruit, then eucalyptus, and lastly more spicy and peppery. On the palate fresh, round and juicy and again fruit forward. Without knowing much about this wine, it would appear Togni was working less with oak than many others lacking the Napa signature sweet spices and vanilla aromatics and thus allowing the wine to show more terroire - at least that was my impression. You can really feel the altitude here. This will easily have to age another 10years before reaching its peak.
