September 17, 2023 - Winebid purchased. PnP in Conterno stems. The bottom line is that this wine is nearing its peak. A perfectly clean and acceptable bottle without any hint of oxidation. Honey notes are pushing through the surface layer of reduction which is itself beginning to fade. River stone, hints of vanilla and spearmint. Not too citric or concentrated but awfully pure.

August 14, 2021 - Nose is energetic perfumed. Palate is a big heavier fleshier fruit very vintage specific.

September 22, 2020 - Reductive but fruit is fat and flabby. Not as precise or focused as I like. Needs mineral balance.

May 11, 2020 - Light fruit with a hint of matchsticks. Palate is lean clean fruit lots of flora lift. Finishes clean dry. Not as abrasive in acids.

January 1, 2020 - Had the Ramonet Morgeot 2012 together with Leflaive Clavoillon 2012. So typical both of them, just as expected. Leflaive is more fresh and acidic even in the warm 2012 vintage. Leflaive wood on the nose but not as much as in eg 2010. The Ramonet is fatter and more charming. Toasted hazelnuts and butter on the finish. Leflaive finish is all about lemon and acidity. Both very nice and ready now.
