May 15, 2022 - Clear pale red in the glass typical of Grenache.

Nose has the signature Cayuse funk.

Palate is silky smooth, earthy, rich and complex yet light on its feet.

    As always an experience.

    Enjoyed tonight.

April 30, 2022 - drank 40 minutes after decanting. HUGE nose of alcohol, really ripe fruit on the nose, with tons of eucalyptus and very metallic. Surprisingly not that sweet on the palate.

April 24, 2022 - 1 hour slow ox; Red fruits, leather, herb, dried flowers. Medium bodied, smooth and delicious.

February 26, 2022 - Crimson in color. 13.6% ABV. Intriguing nose of red fruits, olive brine, smoke and flowers. Medium body with ample acidity. Clean and concentrated. Strawberries, kirsch, salted meats and minerals on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Complex Grenache that is compelling now and will drink well for years to come. Not quite on par with the 14 vintage I tried earlier this year.

January 11, 2022 - Last tasted 2/20, rated it 96. Outstanding, and fully mature. Ruby-garnet, translucent, not dark like the syrahs. Pronounced aromas of black raspberries and plums, acetic aromas, some oak sweetness, just a touch of smoke and roasted meat. Full-bodied matching flavors, but very soft and round, nicely balanced. Very long aftertaste, some sweetness but a hint of bitter, which then resolved. This won't get any better but should easily hold several more years.
