August 23, 2017 - A week in Napa for the Napa Valley Grape Growers Harvest STOMP party; 8/22/2017-8/27/2017 (Napa, CA): Tasting visit at Hudson Ranch. Last of 6 wines tasted. I did not note the % mix, but I believe predominantly cab franc. Another stand out red wine from Hudson Ranch. Very dark fruits, drying tannins, some herbal notes (black tea) and a long, long finish. This one needs some cellaring to knit together but the stuffing is all there.
