July 15, 2023 - Been saving this forever for Matt. Great nose, Graham cracker, some great perfume - sweet dirt/soil and sweet fruit - some strawberry and something darker and some sous bois. Very gentle just hints of 88. “Flowers and leather and cinnamon” says K. Definitely grand cru on nose. Sour on the palate, tart, spicy, earth and sous bois. So perfumed and gentle. Finish sour cherries and spice and sweet Graham cracker. So happy with this. Nose - 6/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20

June 28, 2019 - Musique & Vin Paulée Musicale BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): Small glass, brief note. Rustic character with better flavors than aromas, overall still a bit too firm. Similar to another bottle from a year or two ago, I enjoyed this much more when younger and the fruit more vibrant.

June 23, 2017 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): Small glass, brief note. Charming aromas with spice as well as both red and black cherry. Still very firm, with tannins dominating the finish. Less excited vs when last tasted 5 years ago, but I expect this is a wine to enjoy and appreciate over an evening, not just a few minutes.

December 3, 2012 - Acker BYO 2012 (Tribeca Grill, Tribeca, NY): Now this is more like it! Light ruby. Very spicy nose - old cherry-strawberry fruit, earth, dirt, sauvage. Palate: really pure, with sweet fruit, earth and spice. Elegant, classy, and classic. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 18/20.

September 25, 2012 - Blind Tasting of two Joseph Drouhin Grand Cru burgundy with Mike.Gorgeous nose of rich black cherry fruit with hints of bacon, tea, and allspice, more of the same on the palate, very rich and lovely tasting, medium/long finish but not quite the aftertaste of the Corton. Number one wine for both of us-rated one half point apart.
