December 30, 2023 - Held up well across two days. Fully developed, quite harmonious nose with earth, smoked meat, truffle, and a little more fruit apparent on day two. Quite soft, but still with some gentle tannins. Acid drives the structure, perhaps a little tangy. Medium length. Not complicated but certainly enjoyable, probably on a gentle downward slope at this point.

December 3, 2023 - Soft, plush, but also earthy. A few green notes but I still like it

August 30, 2023 - Well preserved for a 22 y.o. Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux. nice fragrant earthy nose and soft palate that still has some life. Noticeable iron blood, mint and red fruit terrific QPR for $30 at the Wine Exchange

February 17, 2023 - I am, once again, amazed at this wine and how it is so alive for a Cru Bourgeois and 22 years old. Very soft and round, no tannins, but with plenty of nice red fruits, quite present in the nose and mouth but also nicely balanced and restrained. Even the color on this is very much alive, bricking only a bit at the rim. Really quite lovely all the way around. 5-13-17-9: 94/100.

January 30, 2023 - Popped and poured. Cork was in great shape, came out solid and in one piece with waiter's corkscrew; very little penetration of wine into the cork. Very musty odor initially, but it blew off after about ten minutes. Color is still strong and deep, much more red than brown, although more browning at the rim, as expected in a wine of this age. Legs are somewhat thin, but still visible. Nose is exhibiting nice red berry fruit for the most part, along with soil and graphite. Fairly amazing for a simple Cru Bourgeois that is 22 years old. In the mouth, glassy and smooth, all tannins completely resolved. More tertiary elements in the mouth than in the nose; autumnal flavors, butternut. Remarkably good shape, but I wouldn't dare fate by keeping it longer. Drink up! 5-12-14-8: 89/100.

December 18, 2022 - soft tannins, plush mouthfeel, the merlot is gorgeous here, its a really great example of everyday bdx, with ample acidity and earth.

December 11, 2022 - Less fruit and browning on the edges. Not as good as the first bottle but still very nice claret

November 5, 2022 - Still surprisingly primary and fruit forward. Hints of bramble and leather. Drying but smooth tannins

August 20, 2022 - This is the way claret should taste - at its peak with minty, earthy, almost meaty, tertiary flavours & aromas. Straight from the bottle, too good to leave any for the next day
