The palate is impeccably balanced; the acid deficit I noted more than 7 years ago nonexistent. Everything one could want from a young-vines Sagrantino. I’ll enjoy my remaining bottles over the next five years, when I imagine this will be at its best. Bottle #6596.

  July 2, 2021 - Gotta admit, I grabbed this from my Italian cellar off a shelf which wasn’t reserved for “the real good stuff” without even looking. Was so blown away!
  
  Dark, opaque red. Nose is rich but not outspoken. Lush mouth-feel. Spice, dried dark fruits: fig, plum. Finish that was so inviting I was excited to go back.

  Lovely!
  Drank (the whole bottle!) with olives, pizza and chocolate. Great with all! On a Wednesday night!

  May 9, 2020 - Wow. I am not used to Umbrian red wine. This is better than expected. Ready to drink now and may improve in a couple years. Good acidity with blueberry, plum, olive. Easy drinking but complex at the same time
