So contrary to my style preference that I poured almost the entire contents from the decanter back into the bottle and checked in on it over the next several days. It finally calmed down after about four days under vacuum seal, at which point some secondary bramble notes appeared. Won't be a rebuy for me, but others that love that fruit-forward, extracted style will dig this.

November 25, 2017 - Cedar, cassis, black cherry, vanilla. Went excellently with beef brisket.
