    June 5, 2022 - A: Medium tawny
N: Medium (+) nose of raisins, burnt caramel, walnuts, leather, espresso, chocolate, cooked orange, ethyl acetate (VA), cumin
P: Off dry ( you can taste the addition of PX), high alcohol (20.5%), medium (-) acid, full body, pronounced intensity and long finish.
Still enough acid to balance the sweetness, the length, intensity and complexity are optimum. Its an outstanding wine. I served a little chilled. I adore that chocolate flavor.

September 26, 2020 - Superb as always, rich, rum-like dried fruit notes and massively walnutty on the finish. Will do a proper tasting note later.

Smells like an old navy rum with sharp acetic note,
Sweet but you hardly notice it, such perfect balance, dried fruit, dates and oranges, excellent tang, malt extract, more rum, walnuts on the finish.

This is superb. Do rich bit drinkable. A great alternative to after dinnner cognac or port. Great food wine, hard and blue cheese or puddings.

May 16, 2020 - Introducing the Jewels of Gonzalez Byass (Zoom!): A bit musty on the nose - slight TCA? Blend of Oloroso and PX at age 10. Dark caramel, coffee, woodiness. Not that sweet (despite 125g/pl of sugar!). Raisins on the finish.

July 27, 2019 - Dark amber, fruits, raisins and figs. The Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez mix creates a subtle sweetness that doesn’t overpower the salty, crisp flavour of Oloroso but let’s the hints of the sweeter PX come through. Well structured and precise and therefore not some mix-match without style but a wine where the quality of its two main components completes each other. Wonderful
