January 16, 2022 - At Terroir. Beautiful, soul stirring. Deep, fresh baked chocolate chip cookie note. Very long finish. Huge acid, even some astringency. Built like a tank. The contrast to the nose and the intensity were remarkable.

October 14, 2021 - As expected from a Madeira this is properly oxidative. Unlike a dry sherry where the oxidative notes are clearly too much for me, here the medium sweetness, tobacco and strong caramelized and smoked coffee notes form a combination that is very pleasant. Like a smoky espresso shot with sugar in an alcoholic form. Good wine for a cheese platter.

September 15, 2021 - Exceptional Madeira. Complex, structured, powerful, elegant. Has so much more life to go, just wow.

May 16, 2017 - Refined and delicious. Notes of black tea and mocha with bright berry-like fruit. Hints of peanuts and baking spices. Harmonious. Good power on the finish.

September 23, 2016 - Nose of almonds and just a hint of sweetness. Lightly sweet, with almonds, citrus/orange marmalade and good acidity culminating in a gentle finish. Very smooth and easy drinking. Should become remarkable with age.

From a bottle that had been Coravinned.
