October 9, 2016 - Medium gold. Strong flor yeast character on the nose, with abundant sotolon and petrochemical notes. Extremely well balanced, with oily flavours, low acidity and rich extract. Great match with boquerones.

Same echoes on the palate, maybe more clearly olive oil. Pure sensitive and quite short I have to say. Fragile? A good definition.

June 30, 2015 - From magnum. Soft, enveloping marine nose, fairly open knit.

April 19, 2015 - The wine is clear and bright with a medium lemon colour.

The nose is clean and fully developed, showing pronounced intensity aromas of almonds, acetaldehyde, leather, green olives and hints of lemon peel.

The wine is dry in the mouth with a low acidity. It has a low alcohol (for a fortified wine) and a medium(-) body. It has pronounced intensity flavours of almonds, acetaldehyde, leather, green olives and hints of lemon peel. The finish is long.

It is an outstanding quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours. It shows some complexity provided by biological ageing under flor, and it shows typicity through its acetaldehyde and almond aromas.

Drink now, not suitable for ageing. It is already fully developed and there is no point in ageing it. In addition this is a "en rama" bottling, with no filtration or stabilization, meaning the Manzanilla is even more fragile than conventional bottlings.
