April 2, 2021 - Garnet hue with an explosive raspberry bouquet. On the palate initially there was raspberry and cherry fruit with some nicely defined tannins developing spice and a rich texture.

Regrettably, flavours of blackcurrant pastilles then seem to come to the fore and dominate at the expense of everything else that was promising to begin with, and the wine just became one dimensional.

The final result borders on the 84/85 borderline at the high end of average and the bottom end of above average.

Pity because the last bottle I had a few years down the line was much, much better. Perhaps it was too long in the tooth. 84+ points.

October 9, 2020 - On opening shows green leafiness and bell pepper. After an hour it shows outrageously confected pink and red fruits, and caramel, then it all settles down into a quite herbaceous wine with some fatty plummy fruit, some charry smoky oak. Certainly not a tick-box Cabernet!

February 20, 2018 - Bordeaux in style. Drinks well but has further to go. Had with ribeye steak, very good match.

May 6, 2017 - Wine tasting in Greece; 4/28/2017-5/6/2017 (Athens, Santorini and Porto Heli): From the bottle list at hotel in Porto Heli. A blend of cab franc, Merlot and agorithiko grown in the Peloponnese. Nose seemed a bit fruity, but once in the glass it settled in and opened up very nicely. Bordeaux in taste with nice balance and some green herbal cab franc flavors coming through, smoothed out by the Merlot. Quite enjoyable.

September 23, 2016 - Red with pale rim
Such a great nose, 'haunting bouquet' as the Wine Soc describe it, floral, herbal with tobacco
Fresh, lovely tannin, just grips but not chewy, so open and delicious now. Great balance
Cedar and herbs on the finish. Long
